Rationale & Objectives

The Programme seeks to achieve the following objectives:

  1. To assist young and talented music makers to develop a professional attitude toward music
  2. To expose practicing musicians to current trends in contemporary church music and its related arts
  3. To assist potential musicians to adopt a fast-track approach to acquiring music reading, writing and performance skills (music literacy)
  4. To prepare prospective candidates who plan to have tertiary education in music in the near future
  5. To train potential musicians who aspire to teach and direct church, school and community choirs, and ensembles
